House Vandermeer is one of the two most regal households in the Drow country of Allengare, rival to house Cidrell. Malcom Vandermeer, head of the house, married Elenor very young—spurred by honest love. The controversy of her being half-giant had the Vandermeer Merchant company lose some support on their routes, making House Cidrell the default most used company on the south coast of Erocotia.

Malcom preferred to be married to Elenor over caving to pressure just for business—but Elenor always knew the Cidrells were up to no good.

The pair quickly welcomed their first son, Iseul, and loved him well. As the Vandermeer reputation re-grew to that of a family company, tragedy struck. Iseul had been kidnapped, and no ransom was offered.

Dallon, their second son, came along far later and never knew his older brother. He did know Maeryn, an elder Drow boy who Elenor took in when she saw them begging on the street. Maeryn taught Dallon many things, ultimately becoming a guard and a confidant.

Through thick and thin, the Vandermeers and Felix siblings persevered, carefully navigating, carefully navigating the social structure that Allengarian merchants call home. Two hundred years since Maeryn and Dallon met, and rumor of a Drow being a hero to the surface-elves began to circulate.

A Drow named Iseul.

This is House Vandermeer.
